If you guys hook up a Circle A show, we'll play it with you. Warrick keeps harassing us to play there and it hasn't worked out yet.

It bums me out how many people have better cameras than I do. These pictures are all so good. Thank you, everyone.

I saw the Hitler mustache guy several times Saturday, loitering near the VIP area. he really freaked me out. Who is he? Reveal yourself!

I was a little bummed about missing the Shipping News, but otherwise caught all the bands I'd wanted to see.
DAY 2
The New Year were good but maybe not for so early on in the day w/ so little sleep.
Uzeda just tore it up. Holy hell. The million faces of Agostino.
Watching Tim and Andy was really hard. It was so obvious that there was a void there and they also played a song that hit all the right notes, "LR 72." Not being able to see Michael set up with his big goofy grin truly bummed me out.
The Ex were good but paled in comparison to what came before. Killdozer, meh. Scratch Acid/Big Black/Shellac was all that I'd hoped for and more. I especially enjoyed TT's "Don't bother" bit and the cymbal moment at the end. Truly beautiful w/ the Chicago skyline as a backdrop.
DAY 3
What's a better way to start the day than with Arcwelder? They were so fucking good. Can't say it enough. They tore it up.
Quasi, Monorchid, meh. Enon I'd seen a few times before and were good.
Had to make a run to Reckless but quickly became a fan of Seam after their set. Brick Layer Cake was hilarious. I was pretty much talking to Ike during all of Black Heart Procession's set but their Tom Petty cover was an unexpected surprise.
I left with the weird, ringing sounds of CocoRosie and now I'm curious to hear more. So nice to meet some other forum members.
Salut, Touch and Go!

Here's something to ponder:
I've posted all of my videos from days 2 and 3 on
YouTube and have been watching the number of views grow (certainly more so today, after the YouTube search engine added them to its index).
So... I won't bore you with the full statistics, but I just have to wonder:
How is it that Big Black's Pigeon Kill and Cables get almost double what Dead Billy gets?
How come Shellac and Scratch Acid the biggest drawers and not Big Black?
Why do Pegboy and Monorchid get about double the Didjits, who were far superior (also in real time...)?
Plus I'm kind of saddened by the relative lack of interest in CocoRosie, Tim and Andy and The New Year, but that just makes me love them more, to compensate.
