Zach Snyder talks about the end of the film. :)
The way he talks about Dan in the Comic-Con article has me convinced he understands the material.

"How about Ozymandias' dog? Is he in there?"
What kind of assholes do they have doing these interviews?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a dog. It's a weird mutant cat, right?

My point exactly. They're at Comic-Con, a place where you can't swing a toy light saber without hitting a rabid Watchmen fan, and they choose an interviewer who doesn't even know that his "dog" is Bubastis, a genetically enhanced lynx?
Come on! On behalf of my fellow nerds, I sniff in disdain.

The fact that Zach Snyder included Bubastis chubbed me up half-way. It's this attention to detail, these small one and two panel easter eggs, that makes me feel real good.

I noticed that Newsarama has four new stills up. The story is on the main page.

A decent Watchmen film would have to be at least 3 hours long. There's a lot to Watchmen that can't be condensed without compromising the story.
Edit: That Smashing Pumpkins song was used in Batman and Robin.

Zack Snyder wrote:Let's just say that, without getting too spoilerish, a certain character in the movie survives that makes a moral choice, that is what we would consider; what an audience might consider, questionable, but on paper you could make an argument for. That's what it's about. I have got to say, you pose that to a studio… you tell the studio that this guy who kills millions of people, he's going to be okay at the end. That's tough. It's not like Lex Luthor ends up on an island. I'm saying this guy is right. That's a different thing. That's the movie, that's the fun.
So much for the ending.

I saw “Watchmen.” It’s fucking astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off.
Remember that feeling of watching “Sin City” on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you’ll come close to watching “Watchmen.” Even Alan Moore might be surprised at how close the movie is to the book. March can’t come soon enough.
