Ben Adrian

And I want to let it be known that Ben Adrian has a hypnotically massive cock that is to be feared as well as revered. Not because it's "true" in the technical sense, but because it'll mean he owes me $5. Or $5 more, rather.

Peaches.

Anyone ever have a tube driver, made by tube works? It was my first pedal and I loved it. It was copper colored, obnoxiously huge and you had to plug it in. I ended up selling it to buy what would be a worhtless engagement ring. I've seen a few smaller versions of it over the years, but I'd kill for one of those originals about as much as the......harmonic percolator.
I've seen the bridges burning in the night.

Sure, the actual pedals are favorable to digital simulations of them, and turning knobs is easier than the less-than-user-friendly RP80 interface, but it's handy for those who like having effects on hand to experiment with but don't use them enough to justify the expense of a huge bank of pedals.

RP80.. heh. My friends used to joke, "You should get an RP5000000!". I would be on the floor trying to press those dumb buttons when everyone else was wailing on their Peavies. When they make an RP5000000 I will definately buy it. I'm going to have to get out the RP5. Maybe by now it has a certain novelty to it since the 90s can be seen as a seperate context from now. Probably not. :/

They sounded pretty good full blast.
Tube Drivers are still out there, and not too expensive. Also Dean Markley made a nearly identical pedal called the Overlord, it may have even been made by Tube Works. Good buzz.

i just bought an xotic RC BOOSTER pedal to use with my electrical 500 and traynor yba-1a.

it sounds really swell. i wanted something that would add a bit of cut through, volume and bite on top of the current overdriven sound I already have. it works great and doesn't add the normal stompbox opacity on top of the guitar sound that I have..

the only thing I am not happy with is the fact it has the COMIC SANS typeface printed on the pedal. call me a fontnazi if you must, but this sucks.

otherwise- great pedal.
