Frank Decent wrote:AUX wrote:One of these is on its way to meFor whatever reason, i've been taken by oddballs and underdog guitars lately. I've got a song I'd like to record and it's longing for the sound of lipstick pickups in series. Should be fun! I guess these are the current version and manufacture has been brought back to Korea... they've made a few improvements (bridge) and made a short run of these using up some NOS lipsticks from the original '90s reissues. i'm really looking forward to it arriving. That is wicked.I love those guitars. Dinking around on them in guitar shops, I really do prefer them to most Fenders. I had a basket case Jerry Jones for a while that some fool converted to left hand and painted brown and covered in stickers. I never could get it quite right so I sold it off, but I do miss playing that thing around the house. TBH I should have gotten a Danelectro rather than the JJ, but you know. It s not the first wounded dog I ve taken in.

Today I traded some stuff to Music Go Round for this flatback Ampeg 8x10 cabinet. It has four replaced speakers, and I know the original Eminences only handle 30 watts apiece, so I'll probably end up swapping in some higher power handling speakers soon. I wanted a good bass cabinet to keep at my main practice space since my 2x15 resides at a different spot.

Grabbed this Oak Lawn Camco kit for 9 hundo. 24, 14, 18. The kick drum is one of a few goofy 18 deep ones that they made by joining 2 shells. Note the re-ring inside the drum. I'll take a picture of it with my junk dangling in the frame so Kerble can see the drums to scale.Just kidding, Faiz. You know I love you in ways that don't involve my junk. Emoticon.
