I'm in the market for some sort of slow cooker.Like, you put shit in, turn it on, come back later and magic has happened.Here's the catch: I've been through this hunt before (for a slow cooker) and it seems to me that finding one that you can set to turn on at a certain time is a rare thing. Is it?Because what if the particular meal you're making only has to cook for, say, 2 hours?You don't want it to cook all day. But you won't be there to turn it on at 4:00 so it's ready at 6:00.Does this kind of thing exist?Grazi.

Considering some of those nicer cookers cost hundreds of dollars, I'd just get an Instant Pot. It has a slow cooker function (though I haven't played around with the timer settings), but.. you can also make some pretty great things in under 25 minutes and avoid advance meal planning altogether.

Settled on a relative newcomer in the Fractal Audio EV-1 (similar in many respects to an EB, but with a planetary gear instead of Ernie's silly cooking twine) and have been very happy with it thus far. So there's another recommendation.
