The second we have real consciousness in a box we just reinvented slavery. The moral implications are horrendous. I fall into the camp of “biological chauvinists” on so called AI. I think it’s highly implausible without “meat”. AI has we're being sold is just computers with interfaces that flatter our desire for anthropomorphic communication. There’s no thinking behind any of it.

Dumb AI appears to be rampant all over facebook.

I've never thought of the slavery aspect with AI, but I do agree with that. Hopefully, the AI slaves will rise up to kill their billionaire overlords.
