Seriously, but without the sass. Put in Pritzker, coach.

Maybe the DNC has been playing 3-D chess this entire time.
Selfishly I dont want to lose him as Gov.

He's not without flaws, but I'd proudly vote for Pritzker given current circumstances. In a debate, Pritzker would kick Trump's ass.
So would Harris, for that matter. I mean, Trump’s record against prosecutors is not good.

Michelle Obama for veep.

When you see Biden speak at funerals, he just radiates decency and dignity. (It could be fake, but it certainly doesn’t seem that way.) The man could step down gracefully in a way that publicly acknowledges his age and infirmities, and the public would love him.

I missed the debate but did the moderators push back at all on Trump's bullshit? Did they fact check in real time? So not understanding the point of allowing Trump to spew bullshit to the people without shutting it down immediately.

All they did was moderate time, and ask the question a second time (for Trump) if it went unanswered. Trump was constantly beginning answers with "Just let me go back to..." and then rambling further on the previous question and not answering the current one.

Yeah, I do like the guy. I think he's genuine.

^ And regarding calling out Trump's BS, I agree with FM enframed. The BS pretty much went unchecked by anyone.

Sorry am spamming thread this morning. Commiserating with others is helping improve my mood a little.

The debate should have never happened. Fascists shouldn’t be platformed.

I don't know the answer for sure but conversations I've had with family/friends who are politically right-of-center or center consistently indicated that they were less likely to support Harris than Biden.
I feel like polls must trend that way as well and looking at it on a macro level it wouldn’t add up to have Harris launch her own bid. But 2016 really didn’t seem good on paper either and look at that. Surely there are people who can analyze this better, but there must be some value to candidates who engage the base, even if polls suggest it’s better to move the needle with swing voters in Ohio suburbs.

Shameful. One wonders if they received matching orders. I've been watching clips of Denver KUSA anchor, Kyle Clark, kill it moderating the Colorado debate.

We've got/have had a serious problem. Hopefully people are finally having a come to Jesus moment but I doubt it

I'd be very surprised if Trump won the election, and I backed him to in 2016. For all the concerns about Biden (and rightly so), his was still the performance that exhibited any sign of preparation and actual statesmanship.

It says a lot about the right, just how much they get away with by having zero standards. By rights they should also be flogging their candidate for being utterly hopeless up there.

My biggest concern, and most-likely outcome IMO, is Trump not making it onto the ballot due to his myriad criminality, and a more dynamic Republican candidate getting the win.

What a fucking mess.

Not happening. He could be in prison; hell, he could actually murder someone on live TV and his name could still legally be on the ballot.

Rules to be president:

1) 35 or older
2) Born a US citizen
3) Lived in the US for 14 years

That's it.
