I am in Montreal Canada right now. It’s lovely. But everyone is basically gearing up for the conservatives to take over in the next election so yeah. I have overheard so many conversations today from people ripping on Biden and expressing how terrified they are of another DJT administration.

Best way is to interview for a job up there and get relocation assistance.

Not that I've looked or anything.
Someone must have a list of easiest countries to immigrate to. Surely, Chile, Austria, Serbia, Laos, Ghana.... there must be decent options.
Digital nomad visa

Canada is still correct answer because it's right there and, well, it would be least difficult to get used to living there. There are more than a few similarities between Toronto and Chicago. Also these folks have unlocked the magic combination of pizza with Indian ingredients and spices. https://redswanpizza.ca/

This about Montreal, as well Toronto/Ontario, has made Canada also seem less like an option in recent years.

Not to mention once you hit middle age, you are no longer the type of talent most countries want to bring in.

Is there, now, any place an over 40, middle class person can move to that isn't at risk of being overrun by fascist shitheads or affected by a looming war?

The chances seem slim.

I have the ability to gain citizenship in Slovenia and Croatia, if I should choose to. I lived in northern Italy for five years, so I know what I'd be getting into moving abroad. No place is perfect or close to it, but I want to retire somewhere nice. And every time I leave the US, I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and chest.

Yes - and ensure the people you work for actually know the process, will hire a lawyer etc.

I moved from Canada (Toronto area) to America (San Diego) and while i don’t regret it, I also don’t recommend moving countries if you’re comfortable and can avoid it. Besides politics it has made many more things complicated in my life.

Also pollievre is going to be awful, and the housing market is similarly fucked in many cities

All they did was moderate time, and ask the question a second time (for Trump) if it went unanswered.
The debate should have never happened. Fascists shouldn’t be platformed.

The truth Mr. Biden needs to confront now is that he failed his own test.

Maybe this whole debate thing is simply a ruse to resurrect Hillary Clinton as the nominee? Hmmm…

Clinton didn’t have the power to orchestrate this anymore but some people are saying Obama does.

But I’m not convinced. Your chances of beating trump will go up but that’s just because you let them get so low already.

It’s not indicative of an evil genius or any genius really.
