It's official!
I'm reasonably worried about his lack of experience but I'm sure he'll adapt to the job soon enough. Hopefully he'll bring in an experienced number two to give him a boost.
Don't fancy our chances away at Southend tonight though.

Sunderland are going to be just fine. The new signings Bardsley and Prica looked shit hot last night, Bardsley-Nosworthy-Evans-Collins looks a more assured defence than Whitehead-McShane-Higginbotham-Collins, and if Richardson and / or Edwards can get fit for most of the rest of the season we'll be laughing. Jones is an inspiration. Yorke can get stuffed and I don't really see the point of sending Andy Cole out on loan to Barnsley. But, still. I think we'll finish above toon.

My guess would be that Hutton feels that as long as he's playing Champions League football at Rangers, he might get noticed and snapped up by one of the true big boys, rather than having to get himself noticed outside the CL playing at Spurs. Let's face it, Spurs aren't going to be playing in the CL for two years at least, and maybe Hutton's a very ambitious man who plans to go all the way to the top?
I'm not sure it'll take Spurs that long. Hutton is a great signing for them (even if he did have to be persuaded with large bags of money), and if they can keep Woodgate and King fit as well, they now have a really good defence. Imagine Tottenham with a defence! It just might work. Even if they can't hang on to Berbatov in the summer, they still have Keane, Defoe and Bent, or the money to buy a big name replacement.
Is that what sealed the deal for Hutton, improved personal terms? I get the feeling the Mr Murray (Rangers Chair) might have been giving Hutton a gentle push, this time. He's a good player with great potential. He is guilty of the odd rash tackle but he's fast, strong and skillful for a defender.

Apparently Spurs upped his wage to £33,000 a week (Tottenham are, remember, pretty rigid about their wage structure; by modern standards, anyway), and then Murray gave Hutton a £1m 'golden just-fucking-go' because, I assume, Rangers wanted the £8m coming the other way from London.
The few times I've seen Hutton, mainly for Scotland, the thing that has struck me is his utterly ridiculous pace. I saw him with the ball at his feet racing towards the Italian corner-flag, the Italian defenders without a clue of how to deal with it. The office Spurs fan is pretty excited about Hutton playing behind Aaron Lennon.

Oh, and Hearts are one game away for playing for silverware. It's Rangers, but Hearts already put a pasting on them earlier this year.
Latest: an hour played, Rangers 1 - Hearts 0.
Both teams playing relatively well. Hearts have just missed a great chance to equalise. I have to say the referee has not kind to Hearts tonight.
Both teams have hit the bar.

69 minutes, 2-0. Great ball by Burke across the face of goal. Easy tap in for Darcheville.

We have pretty much the same team is probably why. Likewise with Stuart's team.
I am so tempted to sell Gerrard. I could do so much with the money I would save from him. If he hits form, it could cost me a lot of points though. It's killing me. Might leave it another couple of weeks and see if he improves.

It isn't a wondergoal. It's a good freekick. Apparently Ronaldo has 'invented' a 'revolutionary' new technique to get swerve on the ball by striking it through the valve. No shit - I was doing this when I was eleven. I was doing it because I had read an article that said Mel Sterland did it. He did it because John Lukic had told him how to do it.
But of course, it didn't really exist until that fucking scum prick started doing it.

Alright, alright! When I say "wonder goal" I merely reflect what the controlled media elite are calling it, ok?
Kudos for mentioning Juhn Lukic though.

I've been thinking about selling Gerrard for a while now.... could be the move that takes me to THE TOP. Although like you, I haven't decided either....
