Seconded. This was the one I was gonna mention. I kept waiting for something after The White Birch, but then my general depression ebbed and Codeine was no longer the soundtrack to my life. Ha!

I got rid of their CDs only because I listened to them so much as a sensitive young lad. Now I wish I at least had The White Birch again.

Codeine, what happened to them?

Does anyone know about the band the Sex Maniacs? I liked the album they put out in 2002 but they haven't released anything since, so i can only assume they're doing different stuff...

Polvo -

allmusic wrote:Drummer Watkins left the band afterward, and was replaced by Brian Walsby. The rest of the group was beginning to drift apart as well; Brylawski moved to New York City to play with Asian musicians (and also traveled to India), while Bowie started dating Helium frontwoman Mary Timony and relocated to Boston to play bass with her band. Polvo reconvened in 1997 to record Shapes, and rumors that it would be their final album proved true when they amicably disbanded later that year. Bowie had been making four-track recordings at home of material that wasn't quite right for Polvo, and he eventually turned it into a solo project; adopting the name Libraness, he debuted with Yesterday...and Tomorrow's Shells in 2000 on the Tiger Style label. Brylawski, meanwhile, joined the North Carolina-based, world-inflected trio Idyll Swords, which released two albums on Communion.

Prior to the Baruch job, he worked for my councilman, Peter Vallone! I would see him all the time. Every now and then we'd sort of marvel at how our lives had kind of stayed the same, but became radically different.

*Nailbomb*

Nailbomb was Fudge Tunnel plus Napalm Death for a one-shot deal, no?
Modest Mouse is currently the home of Johnny Marr, no?

Ryan of most secret method did a long tour of duty in the lovely Beauty Pill, and is currently doing his own thing in the two piece, Soccer Team.

Also, he is awesome.

I don't know if this one got answered in the last eight pages, but they have a new record out now.

Someday, I will have Ryan do some artwork for a band I am in. His stuff is great.
