I totally thought of that when I saw Only God Forgives.I'll get back on the story/title info that sticks out.Yep. Loved Whilce Portacio's pencils while they were there. Great stuff. No rush on the recs, as Just remembered the bendis and brubaker era daredevil. I've read a few of the trades, and would really like to dig into more.

kerble wrote:Any recommendations for some good story arcs? I mean, really good, please. Thanks!New Mutants #18 “31, #35 “38 by Sienkiewicz and Claremont, I'd just start at #1 though.Meltdown 1-4 written by Simonson and painted by Jon J Muth (This looks fantastic.) X-Force #116-129, X-Statix #1-26, Dead Girl #1-5 by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred.Sensation She-Hulk 1-8 by John Byrne - great writing and art from Byrne, surprisingly funny and goofy and post-modern.The Infinity Gauntlet by George Perez (and Ron Lim for a bit) - Perez' art is pretty and you get to see a lot of popular Marvel characters get killed.

I've been reading Batman Zero Year right now. Greg Capullo is a killer artist. I'd like some of his original art but he doesn't have a dealer right now and doesn't really sell.

Ed Piskor's "Wizzywig : Portrait Of A Serial Hacker" is part of Humble's Book Bundle for whatever you want to pay. Fantastic art and writing, can't recommend this enough.

If you are a fan of Watchmen or the Millar/Quitely run on The Authority, you should strongly consider picking up the DC comic Multiversity: Pax Americana.

can't afford them anymore, but pretty standard supes stuff when i could.Bats and Spidey were my main reads. Iron man sometimes.always went Avengers over X-men. Teen Titans over JLA. In fact considering the Nolan verse is the one people want (unfortunately, esp as I finally watched that pretentious turd, DKR) and how he's de-fantasized it to the point where reconciling it with DC's other primary character - an ageless, bullet proof alien powered by the sun who flies faster than the speed of sound and lifts aircraft carriers - is next to impossible, they need to scrap the current "franchise" which is working towards JLA and re-build the DC movie verse following Marvel's lead using more control from the beginning with their characters. The Teen Titans offer an excellent opportunity to do so. Plus, fucking DEATHSTROKE... also had a thing for the Shadow too. liked Sandman quite a bit. Astro boy and Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children were favorite reads of the non Marvel, non DC varietyEdit : Forgot Ghost Rider.

Apologies as i'm sure it's already been mentioned, but i just read the first Ms. Marvel trade and hot damn. I could be just a sucker for high school fish-out-of-water superheroes whose cast of characters resembles high school-era Spider-Man, but this is great stuff. Pretty on point review of the first issue here.

I was getting Ms Marvel for my niece and enjoyed reading it too. I really like Adrian Alphona's art which I first got see when reading Brian Vaughan's Runaways series.Speaking of Vaughan. The Private Eye has been very enjoyable. Released on Brian's Panel Syndicate website ( http://panelsyndicate.com/ ), which hosts DRM-free creator owned digital comics. Pay what you want or nothing at all to download them. Albert Monteys has just released a comic called Universe through it which I thought was good too. I really like the option of paying what you like for these things and it seems like it's profitable tooEven though readers can still pay whatever they want for our DRM-free files (including nothing!), artist Marcos Martin, colorist Muntsa Vicente and I are proud to reveal that The Private Eye is already well into the six figures for both issues downloaded AND dollars earned ¦ and that s without advertising, corporate backers, Comixology-like distributors, or even a Kickstarter campaign. It s all because of small contributions from readers around the world, so sincere thanks again for your coverage of our ongoing experiment.I'm probably preaching to the converted and stating the obvious that Saga is the best title out at the moment. Vaughan can't do anything wrong in my eyes.I've started reading Sergio Toppi's The Collector, which has beautiful line workThe latest Blacksad book Amarillo was great, even though the artwork outweighs the story by a long way in my opinion. Pick it up in book form if you can as I compared the book to the digital release and they haven't done a good job on the colours in the digital version, it looks far too pale.Chris Ware's Building Stories came through the post. I couldn't resist picking it up on Amazon as it was priced at 5, bargain!
