I forgot our cover of Oscar the Grouch's "I Love Trash" for Earth Day back in '91.

Acid was fun back then.

I've done "River Bottom Nightmare Band" from Emmet Otter's Jugband X-mas.

So I'm playing around with the old four track this afternoon, going through these tapes that I had made with a friend. There's an easy four minutes of silence on the first one, so I've got it cranked, wondering "What the hell?" and then it happens. I can tell it's me. It's all me, baby. I know what I sound like when I move around in the room, I guess.
Yeah, shit, it's me.
Th1mp-th2mp-th3mp-th4mp goes the kick drum and then it begins...
It's my version of Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head".
It's surprisingly not bad, but, man, I smoked way too much opium, back then.

I did a stripped down acoustic version of 'Born under a good sign' for the teenage fanclub forum rework of the TFC album 'Manmade'.

A band I used to be in played a benefit show that was themed around Our Band Could Be Your Life- we did three Sonic Youth songs. Catholic Block, Shadow of a Doubt, and Brother James. It was a lot of fun.

Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd. We also did Mr Moto by The Belairs too, but we ditched it.

My old band Ein Heit used to do Sorrow. It was pretty good.

I will only mention the ones I still like.

Ein Heit played:

Diane, Husker Du
Black Juju, Alice Cooper
Get Off Your Ass and Jam, Funkadelic
Warsaw, Joy Division
Winter, R.Stones

Silkworm played:

Halloween, Dream Syndicate
Our Secret, Comsat Angels
The Chain, Fleetwood Mac
Ooh La La, Faces
Wrote a Song for Everyone, CCR
You Ain't Going Nowhere, Dylan
Little Wing, Hendrix
Prayer to God, Shellac (ahead of the acoustic-version bandwagon curve)
and the rest of the stuff on the acoustic EP

Crust Brothers played exclusively cover, but the best ones were:

Goin' to Acapulco, Dylan
Heard it through the Grapevine
Bitch, R.Stones
Tuesday's Gone, L.Skynyrd
I'm Not There (I'm Gone), Dylan
Down by the Seaside, Led Zeppelin
Effigy, CCR
Green River, CCR
Sinister Purpose, CCR
Crazy Face, Van Morrison
Ramblin' Man, Allman Bros
Spanish Harlem Incident, Bob Dylan
Squealer, AC/DC
Girls Got Rhythm, AC/DC
and a million other Dylan and CCR songs

Oh yeah, Gotta Serve Somebody, with Robbie Fulks making up all the words. That was pretty good.

I did a version of Time of the Season on a little EP that I liked.

Bottomless Pit does no covers at the moment. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to make us play Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.
