Billy Corgan: "American girls are sluts"

Smashing Pumpkins closed the Main Stage at Carling Weekend: Reading tonight (August 26).

Midway through the set stage cameras panned the crowd, which included a scantily clad young woman, about whom Corgan commented "There's something about a girl who's willing to take her top off so quickly."

"American girls are sluts too," he added. "See - isn't it great to be alternative - You can say all those things."

nice stage banter, asshole
"We're very humbled to be back on this stage," Corgan concluded at the end of the show "Yes, miracles can happen."

man this dude is fucked up in the head.
Dude, you had like 2 mid level alternarock hits like 10 years ago. That's it.
Nobody gives a fuck, seriously.

What gives this dude the idea that the entire world is just waiting to hear what he's up to?
I mean, does the dude from the Gin Blossoms take out full page ads in his local newspaper to announce his solo tour or whatever?

Corgan is a genius. This Pumpkins album is noting but satire. He is spoofing major labels by intentionally raping the poor fans who actually buy this "album" w/ the different versions, its just hipster ironic at its best.

Calling the band Smashing Pumpkins is another hipster intentional irony, as clearly its Corgan solo w/ the drummer back on board and the "songs" he wrote are barely B sides for a Spinal Tap album quality, clearly these are also satire of the music from the 90s.

Corgan realizes that he had 2 good albums way back when and this is just his ironic schtick Andy Kaufman style. Its just a middle finger to "the man" he didn't really release a new pumpkins album, we all know thats impossible.
