It has four replaced speakers, and I know the original Eminences only handle 30 watts apiece, so I'll probably end up swapping in some higher power handling speakers soon. I wanted a good bass cabinet to keep at my main practice space since my 2x15 resides at a different spot. This has an update:I went back to the store to pick up this cabinet, and decided to open it up to see exactly what speakers were in it. The four originals were actually the 30 watt alnico CTS speakers, and the four replacements were Jensen Mod 50's. Awesome sounding cab, but I knew I'd be blowing those speakers with my amp. So, there was an ugly, unbranded 8x10 cab covered in carpet sitting next to it, marked down to $150 clearance. My friend who works there said that he was pretty sure some guy had built it himself, that it had some 100 watt Eminences from a more recent Ampeg cab in it, and that I could just buy that, swap speakers between the two, then sell the more desirable CTS ones. So I paid $150 for the no-name cab, lied them both down on the floor and started pulling speakers. When I got to the no name cab and took the grill off, I noticed some faded sticker at the bottom center of the baffle, so I leaned in to inspect it:It was an Ampeg cab. And with the Linden address, meaning 70's, i.e. the good ones and not made of OSB. I returned the flatback cab and ended up taking the other one. As soon as we got it to the practice spot, we ripped all of the carpet off. Unfortunately it has this pink glue residue all over the wood. So, I have to figure out how to get that off. This cabinet is going to stay at this practice spot permanently. It does have one alnico CTS speaker still in it on the bottom right, but it has a huge dust cap, so I'm wondering how this one might be different than the 30 watt ones in the flatback. It even still has the old Ampeg four-pin jack:
