I caught Scarecrow on TV when I was a teenager. It was randomly on and I was immediately drawn to the slow burn of these two hollywood heavyweights, guys I assumed had only been in films that made the "Top 100 of All Time" lists, just drifting around rural America, trying to learn how to connect with each other.It was my first inkling that some pretty great films had been made in the 70s that I'd never heard anyone talk about.

One Cut of the DeadI can't properly describe how much fun this is without spoiling the film. It starts as a hokey Japanese zombie movie, but beyond a lot of flying blood it's not very gory.It's actually almost like an Ealing comedy.

The BluRay kicks ass.Also Yessongs, I know it's not really a movie, but the BluRay is as good as it's going to get picture wise. The sound quality is still meh, but you can actually see Rick Wakeman manipulate the Mini-Moog now, so that's a total nerd bonus.

So I rewatched Scarecrow. Man, isn't it still something? What a fine film.
