i'm sorry but i can't agree on that one. no matter how incredibly shitty they've been for the last... 16 years... napster... st. anger... touring with limp bizkit and linkin park...
ok, i agree.
eeeh.
no. i don't. those guys are resonsible for recording mastert of puppets. they are! we have to face the horrbile truth: there was a time when metallica was a hell of a band. it hurts and it's not an easy thing to deal with but those ass clowns used to be a good band.
i need to write this once again cause i barely believe it myself.
metallica used to be a good band.
yup.
therefore i'd like to re-do number 16:
16: somwhere in the 80's the worst drum sound ever is invented. it spreads quickly making lots of rock records unlistenable. maybe it had something to do with early digital recordings, maybe not.

I went to see Night Ranger at the local summer festival two years ago, and who did they have on keyboards, but a guy who used to play keys for Great White. When Jack Blades introduced him before they went into their own cover of "Once Bitten Twice Shy", many of us in the crowd laughed and looked nervously at each other, glad that it was an outdoor show.

No, he just made sure people heard it, which is just as important or maybe more than making it.
I submit the evidence:
This Heat - the Peel Sessions.
I second Peel's death as #1.

Oof... I had a Sonex 180 for a couple of years... never stayed in tune. I actually got a few hundred dollars when I sold it. Totally lucky.
