151Anybody had their hands on a Peavey minimax 500 bass head? I'm looking for Big Time Watts and don't care about the loud fan.
While I hear you saying that?llllllllllllllllllll wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 6:23 am Rack reverb! For recording. I don’t want to mess w/ plugins at all. I wouldn’t really be using it for anything that would sound out of place on the last two Talk Talk albums. I generally hate 80s sounds otherwise but I have no problem sticking with 3 presets out of 99
Surely something perfectly useable has gotten cheaper over the years.
Man, I was not even trying to come off that way...penningtron wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 3:56 pm I didn't want to be That Guy, but the Valhalla stuff really is great. Dead simple GUI, inexpensive, and great sounding. Hell, the Super Massive is free and might already cover your needs..
Possibly Relab LX480 Essentials when it goes on sale for $29. It's currently the full $99 though.numberthirty wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 4:01 pmMan, I was not even trying to come off that way...penningtron wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 3:56 pm I didn't want to be That Guy, but the Valhalla stuff really is great. That said, it is really hard for me to come up with a better "Cost Versus Performance..." option for someone that doesn't need something seriously specific.
Someone who only needs a handful of "Nuts..."/"Bolts..." sounds?
It's hard to see Vintage Verb not covering that and then some for a beyond fair price.
It's $29 at PluginBoutique now actually...biscuitdough wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:34 amPossibly Relab LX480 Essentials when it goes on sale for $29. Personally I would recommend one of these (different price tiers for different amounts of space):zircona1 wrote: Sun Sep 03, 2023 11:19 am I'm going to record an album in a little over a month. I met with the studio owner yesterday, and he said I should consider purchasing a studio hard drive.
I hadn't heard of these things, but he recommended the brands:
Glyph
Lacie
Rockstor
Can any of you experienced folks recommend one of these models for me? I'm recording 9 songs.
