Just had an MRI to help diagnose a nagging, unknown shoulder injury.
Was thinking that the cadence of noises made by the MRI machine could serve as the basis for some sort of musical piece.
I have thought the same thing, I like the sounds they make. Being in one is like one's own private Autechre/IDM/whatever-the-genre-is performance or something.

I signed a book contract with Taylor and Francis this evening. I am excited. It is to be an anthology on topics across human computer science. Everything from HCI to AR to AI ethics etc. I am responsible for editing the thing and getting it over the line so this is going to kill me. Hooray though!

Interesting.. though sounds like only a few samples of an MRI machine, if not just one. Was thinking of something more chaotic. Cool track, though.

Got the results back from that MRI. Labrum tear and tendonitis. Looks like I will be having some anti-inflammatory drugs and physical therapy in my future.

That is a very good record, especially the songs with David Campbell's string arrangements, such as this one.

Congrats on your new book contract, Seby. Break a leg.
A recent development: I got some new floorstanding speakers for my stereo and a way better needle for my cartridge and, in light of these level-ups, am now quite tempted to be one of those guys who just hangs out in front of his stereo all day everyday, with even fewer commitments to the outside world. The sound is really something.
