Took advantage of a cheaper new than used sale and S*****ater financing for a Moog Subsequent 25 synth. I kind of like that I know nothing about this area and am basically stuck with an impulse buy… probably better options out there but for little organ-y parts to pop out and peak through acoustic/electric music without going full space wizard, it looks like it will do nicely.
I wanted something analog and somewhat limited and while it was hard to find demo examples that weren’t full of goofy techno exercises, when I did I thought it was pretty cool like on the below, though I’ve seen her work before and she can make anything sound good.
We’ll see, otherwise it’ll be return city for a mini MS20 or something, or else I’ll keep cheating with those little EHX keyboard pedals.
Sub25 is excellent -if you only have one synth you maaaaaybe will want the 37, but the form factor is excellent

Unrelated, but . . .
Am happy to report that I've managed not to buy any new gear in over a year. Other than maybe a plug-in or two.
However, I have bought a bunch of other people's music. But this is something I'm trying to wean off of as well.
A friend and I have this conversation a lot. "Why can't I be content with what I have?" Seems reasonable.

Fished a 1965 or 1966 Vox Cambridge Reverb (V3) out of someone's trash today. Will need some work, but seems pretty cool.
