Non-starter. Am not completely squeamish around bugs and such, but would rather catch a glimpse of a spider in the house than a centipede.

Anyway . . . looking forward to receiving that replacement speaker tomorrow.

So . . . you just let centipedes hang around your house??

Okay.
Oh yes, we do. The centipedes are harmless and mainly stick to the basement areas. They can get to be pretty large too. Given the sheer number of spiders around our house and in Oregon in general, having the centipedes around to keep them in check is a godsend.

Once you get over the initial 'ick' factor, centipedes are really cool critters. The dog and cat leave them alone too. I'm guessing they don't smell too good, as a reason.
Someone (probably East Coast) tell me what eats camel crickets. These things are driving me nuts.

I am sort of in agreement with this, but it depends on the size and hairiness of the spider.

Centipedes are horrifying.

This all reminds me of what I believe is a cartoon, where a homeowner has a mouse problem, and when he buys a cat to chase the mouse, he has a cat problem, and it continues to escalate to where he ultimately needs to get the mouse back to chase off the elephant.

Got the speaker situation sorted. Was worth the hassle. Just threw the Innovations version of "Seabird" on the turntable and it sounded fantastic. Now I need to acquire the 45 of the Alessi Brothers version (have only got the mp3).

Turning 44 this weekend and feel alright about it.

I just got a message from my kid's preschool that a spider set off the fire alarm, forcing an evacuation and the fire brigade being summoned. I don't know how they concluded it was a spider, but more fodder for the arachnophobes.

One of these maybe?

Or these?

I hate when it just keeps on drizzling throughout the whole day. Give me a quick and powerful rain please so we can be done with it.

My sleep paralysis episodes rarely-to-never include shadow people, demons, etc. Instead, I often feel the presence of my mom who has almost been gone twenty years. But it's not exactly a comforting moment because I can't move and I *feel* her there then find myself attempting to suss out exactly what is happening until I finally jerk myself awake confused but ultimately relieved it was just some weird dream...or was it?

This is the best type of rain where one can move gently outside with heightened senses

Downpours are for the duration of nighttime while buried under blankets with windows cracked

I like going outside after rain.
