i'm gonna cry like a baby when the credits scroll for the last time on this one.

i don't think mcnulty'll off himself, unless he finally gets hit by a train in front of bunk while relieving himself. i can't see it ending in redemption for him though...he seems to have already had his chance.

i wonder if avon comes back into play. maybe marlo's crew is out, mostly in jail, & avon has to use his street connecs to keep things moving for the greeks. maybe michael is part of this.

or maybe the whole thing falls apart for the cops, 'cause of the bait 'n' switch of their investigation...& marlo goes to war because of his suspicion of a snitch & brings himself down anyways.

dunno. i will bet good money though that the show doesn't end with a steve perry cover of "down in the hole".

i haven't read all of the posts on this one cos i'm a bit behind on the series and don't want to ruin anything but i gotta say this is one of the best shows around.

so many great characters - i especially love marlo's hit team of chris and the weird voiced girl. the scene where she buys the nail gun in the hardware shop is fucking hilarious.

here's why i think mcnulty will die: if he doesn't people are going to think, well he can still come back... the wire can still come back... very hopeful. i have read of plenty of fans talking about other things the wire could focus on in future seasons, including myself and my wire watching partner. if mcnulty dies, you know it's over, and it would wrap up all the seasons in a really tight bow. in fact, if they don't kill him i will be disappointed because i am prepared to sob.

dookie should have called prystawhoevsky (polish cop turned teacher) first thing. i am so mad. i love that kid.

You people are all nuts. McNulty is NOT going to die. It's much more David Simon to have him live with it. I still hold out hope that he will be exonerated. He caught the real serial killer, for Christ's sake. The mayor got his "drugs on the table", everyone's happy. It took Lester Freemon about twenty seconds to convince Daniels of the plan.

It looks like Freemon will go after the lawyers next, but sadly we won't see it. I'd love a "lawyers" season.

"How's my hair, Mike?"

"You look good, girl."
