Can't wait for this. An all-time great, reworked.

Peaking my head in here. 66 hours into Elden Ring and I just arrived in Caelid. My (character's) ass hurts.

Ace K wrote: Wed Mar 30, 2022 6:51 pm Elden Ring is really doing it for me. The balance is great, it's continually difficult but being able to run away and find something else to explore means that I never feel trapped or cheated like I did in Bloodborne.

Before that, played through Yakuza 0 to like 90% completion. Fantastic game and the action-movie-vibes climactic showdown was a great way to close it out. I'm playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 now but the story isn't as compelling and the fighting feels thinner.
Id persist with the yakuza series regardless of how flat some of the notes through some of the games are. Nothing else comes close to the absurdity as you’re probably keenly aware. My wife and I played 0 through 7 and the judgments independent of one another and we talk about and reference it maybe more than any other thing in pop culture. It’s just a fantastic absurd thing that exists. Fun as shit for the most part too.
Yeah I'm definitely gonna keep going, just I don't feel as compelled to hit every single thing in 2 like I did in 0. In 0, I was ordering drinks just to see the ad copy that they inserted for all the liquors and so forth, like the whole universe was nifty.

Our first child’s arrived, which has cooled my ardour for ER, but christ what a game. Finished Raya Lucaria, and promptly discovered a large rooftop section that I’d overlooked that just transformed the area.

Caelid’s nasty. I’ve accidentally triggered the run-up to the main boss in that area, but I’m off exploring elsewhere as I’m way underlevelled. Hopefully, I finish NG by the time the kid’s in school.

Funny, I found my way quickly to castle Redmane and defeated Radahn unceremoniously... Got all the rest of Caelid to check out. Granted, I ran through Sofria first and found the second elevator to Caelid.

I did that! But I couldn’t work out what to do with the giant pot fella at the end of the canyon that well emerges at. Will return.

Siofra: stunning and absolutely deadly at low level. Will return.

The urge to “help” rises but I can’t spoil the fun.

Congrats on the new person!!! I’m trying to cram the game in before our own arrives. Got quite some time to be honest but this thing is huge so the heat is on, so to speak.

Hey! Thanks! Don’t rush it - I am finding I can still squeeze in half-hour, hour-long sessions on the game, and it’s making me more thoughtful over what to do next - maybe I should check this place out next, etc etc.

Tried my first invasion the other night following that “you are maidenless” chap’s quest. I lost, but I almost killed the host’s cooperator! Was fun! Hope they had fun too!

I actually went to Sofria within the first few hours of playing. I left and came back at a much higher level. Still absolutely brutal.

I’ve loved every single Gran Turismo game and I love Gran Turismo 7 too. That’s what video game I’ve been playing.
