Re: What are you buying, What's on its way?

Recently replaced my aging Underwood Five with another of the same model. It’s a1960s vintage desk model and I think the last big fully manual machine they made. Functionally, it’s probably the greatest manual ever made except for a Hermes Ambassador. Unfortunately it’s an ugly battleship gray, which I tried to jazz up with some stickers on the old one. On this new one, I’m thinking of painting it red and giving it the old EVH treatment? OR! I could try and torlex the thing, which might be a nightmare. I dunno, help me out here.

It looks like the one here, but without the wide carraige:

That's beautiful. I dunno, torlex seems like it would ruin it. Paint it seafoam green?

(2) Jensen Blackbird 12" speakers. 100W alnico! We'll see.
Had some in an Emperor 2x12, they were great. I think Marsupialized still has that cab.
Heck, Tim or Andy likely played through that cab at the 2010 PRFBBQ!

You're right! That would have been Tim with 'the Pit. The other cab Andy played thru had 50w Jensens (Jets, I think)

I have 3 Sonicware Livin synths, The Ambient 0, Texture Lab, and Lofi 6 sampler. They are all really cool. They all have multi track sequencing, sampling and cool effects and are pretty cheap, also can run on batts. I bought a cheap pedal board so I can mount them all together with my old Boss DR-110 drum machine (might sync via sync outs) and a little mixer for weirdo Lofi Ambient noise jams. Might see if I can also get my Korg SQ1 Sequencer on there and drag the Arturia Minibrute into the mess. This and my 2 little Powered Roland micro monitors is a pretty hefty synth setup that is really easy to carry around. Putting a Pedal power supply and chain power for the synths in there and will probably add a Boss Reverb Delay and maybe a phaser or some horseshit too. I've gathered a bunch of those cheap mini pedals over the years and this may be a good use for them. Should be pretty fun.
