I have the Hitchhiker's Guide radio show if anyone is interested.

Bob and Ray.

Listen to them here.

Some of the stuff is brilliant.

Yes! Thanks. One of my previous jobs, we played Bob and Ray (cassette tapes, mind you) and it was hilarious. Thanks!

Steve stayed at my house for about a month many years ago. Watching him practice guitar was impressive to say the least. Sadly, he quite playing a number of years ago.

The Pussy Pirates - A Pussy Sampler

The Pussy Pirates are a new, somewhat local all-girl no-wave/punk band. Their members reside in Ann Arbor, MI and Chicago, IL and they've played a handful of shows around Chicago over the past few months.

This is a demo CD that I bought at one of their shows for $1. The sound quality varies from lackluster to really poor, but you can get a general idea of their sound. These recordings don't really do justice to their live show, but check 'em out anyway.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND seeing the Pussy Pirates live. Aside from having a hilarious name, they're fun and they really throw off a lot of energy. The next gig in Chicago is on June 10th at the Fireside Bowl. Their new CD should be out very soon if it's not already.

Michigan Brand Nuggets - A limited edition (1000 copies), unauthorized double album of Michigan rock from the '60s. It's real difficult to find these days, but it's one of the very best garage-oriented compilations of the era, and a pretty diverse one. There's hot White soul from the Rationals, a rare single by the Amboy Dukes, fetchingly raw folk-rock from the Human Beinzs and the Underdogs, burning garage punk from the Unrelated Segments, and even a castrato Four Seasons imitation by Tim Tam & the Turn-Ons. The heart of the collection, however, are the five early, pre-Elektra sides by the MC5, which are garage rock at its most metallic and furious, and the Dylanesque mid-'60s hard rock sides by Bob Seger, a good decade before he broke nationally. The sound is excellent, as are the liner notes; it's worth paying collector prices for. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide

That's Iggy on the cover, but correct me if I'm wrong, nothing by him or the Stooges are on the comp.

Nice one Boombats. I listened to 'Tricks Of The Shade' about a million times when I was at school, but somehow never got around to picking this one up. I look forward to listening to it.

No problem.

And the Iggster is not represented in audio form...not even in The Iguanas. Strange, indeed.
