I think he's amazed/frustrated paper tore up where it shouldn't and ruined not one, but 2(!) sections of paper.

Here I just see fucking Hainbach on the train.
You have to be joking?
This is the slice of life thread, no tall tales here.
Your post made me realize that every time I've seen the name Hainbach I've mistook it for the band Laibach. Probably for years.

Looking at rnb chord progressions and practicing.
FMaj7 | E7b9 | Am9 | Gm7 | C9
I like how those sound together, especially the first two.
Lots of 9s and 7s. A thing you often hear is a central note moving through different surroundings. I suppose these colourings have something to do with this sort of sliding quality, as well as the kind of floatiness that these grooves tend to have. Or it's that half-step, which is common too. Many jazz grooves are doing similar things.
The Gm7 -> C9 bit also calls to mind some classical music, like just after a busier section when the all the instruments mellow out a bit, slow down, before moving on somewhere else.

The first thing that came to mind was the first movement of Ravel's String Quartet in F, where the music resolves into the second theme in D.
