It felt tempting to sleep in longer today. Am glad I didn't, but the pull was strong.

I suppose these colourings have something to do with this sort of sliding quality, as well as the kind of floatiness that these grooves tend to have. Or it's that half-step, which is common too. Many jazz grooves are doing similar things.
Or, I would guess that adding notes to chords gives more opportunities for harmony (and more opportunities to fuck up).

Hey what happened to your longer post?! This is very suspicious….

Take care of yourself Dave, everyone I know is so fried this year. Maybe because it was the first full non-covid year we all pushed it.

Amazing that you are getting creative stuff done at the same time. Bravo on all fronts!

Virtually infinite (forced) manpower will do that for you. They can probably build a 2000 km highway in a few weeks if motivated to do so.

Hope you're having a good trip and have found some good noodles!

Oh, nothing suspicious, just trying to be less of a windbag is all. Will often enough post something and then edit it down later to something more concise.

Cheers!

Yeah the construction projects and worker dorms have been eye opening

Thank you, it's been good! A lot to take away. I'm lucky I'm working with good forthcoming people here but still many things to think about with care.

There has been GREAT noodles, but as a vegetarian I've eaten a tremendous amount of meat and it's starting to take it's toll. Heavy meals.
