That's my favourite Miles. A desert island disc for me.
It took me almost 25 years to get into that record. I listened to it in the 90's when I was really kind of getting into the Coltrane Era of jazz, and it didn't connect at the time.

Now I love it, and it's in the long list of records I re-assessed with older ears and changed my opinion.

Right now I'm listening to Live at the old Waldorf by TV in honor of FM Dave N.

Listened to this before hitting the hay this afternoon, and yes, it's fiery as hell (in a good way), the logical conclusion, perhaps, of having both Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd in the same band. Ha. Also one of the most "New York" things I've ever heard, even though it wasn't recorded there.

Have liked Marquee Moon since high school, but this one might overtake it with deeper listens.
