Canyon
Is this the Canyon formed by Brandon and Joe from Boys Life? If so, what are they up to today (either Canyon or Brandon and Joe)?

On the 'Buried Alive Vol. 2: Best of Smoke 7" Compilation there is a band called Youth Gone Mad that is extremely intense; unfortunately, I believe they were short-lived and there's another band also called Youth Gone Mad that doesn't seem very interesting. This one was fronted by a girl, if that helps. The two songs on the comp. are "Homo Mommy" and "Diaperhead."

they are kinda, sorta still around... kinda not...
kinda more so then they were, and then not.

I hear rumors that the brief "relapse" they had for the second Neurot fest may become more permenent. But nothing yet...
it's too bad, they were truly an incredible band that were never really given their due.
Anyway, I don't want to repeat stuff that has already been gone over
earlier

What's up with
Turning Machine? Haven't checked Jade Tree's site, but the French Kiss Recs. site speaks of nothing post 2004. I know Justin was doing guitar duty in
The Panthers... dunno if they're still going or not either?
FYI- Those interested in the legacy of
The Grifters might wanna check out...

Dave Shouse formed
The Blooodthirsty Lovers whom I saw in Portland in 2002. Think they're done now too though.

They are/were [?] a Croatian band, a sort of post-rock June of 44 meets Mogwai type of thing; at least one of them used to post here on EA; saw them play in Zagreb a couple of times 1999-2000, one of which was opening for Trans Am (who were embarrassingly bad), the other occasion was at the old Mocvara. Interesting band.
Peach Pit still exists in some form. New materials have been recorded and some older ones are waiting to be released on austrian Interstellar records label. Rehearsals are also done regularly, though we play shows only occasionally. It is interesting how you posted it on this forum. Are you Croatian?

Their new album is out March 20th, I wouldn't really hold my breath on that one. Check
this and
this.

Great band! Very powerful...The only album I had by them was "Hag Seed" (which I no longer have). Anyone know if there were any more albums by them?
Also, a band called Milf (no joke) from the Chapel Hill area (I think) were a lot of fun to listen to...very atmospheric stuff. I picked up their album "Antidope" when I was a college radio station DJ and wrote them a letter (mind you, this was about five years after the album was put out).
I never got a response back. Surprise!

C-Clamp. Saw them what seems like ages ago at the Bottle and was instantly hooked. Their drummer, who quit some years ago, was amazing to watch.

The Dog Faced Hermans
EDIT: that's funny, i always thought The Ex and The Dog Faced Hermans might be related, but never bothered to look into it. Now I know.
One of my old bands opened for them at the Neurolux in Boise, ID in about '93. Great fucking show!
