Lowest risk type, no bone damage, minimal plasma mutation… to the point where the clinical team debated whether I need immediate treatment or not. They are going to start straight away but it will be incremental and tailored to my low incidence of disease.

It’s still bad news, but as positive as it’s possible within that framework.

Three weeks into a relatively light chemo treatment and I’ve lost my sense of taste. My only side effect yet oddly absolutely horrendous. Everything tastes like discount store ketchup.

Since I have “no disease” and am being treated as a preventative measure this is mentally harder to deal with than the actual non illness at the moment.

So, yeah fuck cancer.
