Circuit des Yeux in Milwaukee. All my pix turned out crappy cuz the space was small and dark. Current iteration of the band has Alan Sparhawk on guitar (I think they are a couple). Doesn't do much for me on record but the live band was heavy and good. Bauhaus cover was a little out of place but still cool.

(The 6 string bass player looks familiar but I can't place it)

Which one?

I've always been curious about her vocals and music but I've yet to go exploring. Weird! Should change that.

Mercury Rev played a lovely set of music. Couldn't be happier. Well, like, I mean a few tunes from Yerself Is Steam, Boces, or See You On The Other Side would've flipped my wig but that's just being nitpicky. Happy that they delved into All Is Dream, which is severely underrated imo. Great band.

Closeup of Justin on pedal steel. This band really makes me want to learn how to play one of these!

Just chiming in to say that the Burlington's band room has gone from sounding kinda harsh and not that awesome to being a really great-sounding small club.

They put a bunch of time/effort into getting the sound right and treating the space. I was kinda shocked at the difference.

Not to diminish the work of the Burlington but I'd hazard that some of the vibes has a lot to do with the players and their talent and use of gear. Speaking of which a couple of FMs on my IG are curious about the type of guitar you are playing.

Really great show. Thanks!
