Well, I suppose that within the context of Rush, a 30-piece kit makes sense.

Also, I think that the reason why Geddy has random crap on stage was because he tweaked his amp setup so that he doesn't need amps on stage. (I think that the explanation was that the cabs are all under the stage now.) Nevertheless, this made him look a little lonely on stage, which is why he got the washing and vending machines.

I must say, the rotisserie machines are a nice touch. I think they could definitely hold their own with Alex's full-stacks.

Actually it's only a 10-piece kit now.

You should see the kit he used through the 80's... it was actually 2 kits.

It surprises me, too. But unlike other authors people tend to get obsessed with in freshman lit, such as Vonnegut, Salinger or Hesse, it surprises me even more that so many young people have actually managed to finish a book like Atlas Shrugged. It's not as if Rand succeeded in delicately weaving her ideology into a tale that was actually interesting.

I laughed at that picture, and probably in the way Geddy Lee wanted me to. This is the second thing Rush have done that I liked. The first was appearing on Bob and Doug's Great White North album.

Years ago, I read an interview with Aimee Mann in which she discussed singing back-up on one of Rush's mid-80s records. She said that they guys in Rush were hilarious, "except for Neil Peart. He wasn't funny at all."

Lifeson looked surprisingly undickish in 1980, when most bands were looking way dickish.



I always thought he was a good guitarist too, long after my 12th birthday, when I started to outgrow this band.
