I tried it once, to see what the hype was about. It was...fine. Nothing to get excited about.
I went there once because I was working 80 hour weeks and it was the closest thing around. I pulled up to the drive-through and I guess I didn’t act excited enough about buying their fucking chicken because the kid in the drive through started yelling in a full on meltdown about what a great day he hoped I was having. I know whatever was going on in that little fucker’s head had nothing to do with me, but it was definitely directed that way after I pissed him off with however I ordered my food in my work trance. I tend to actively avoid fast food and drive-throughs, and the whole experience didn’t dissuade me. It was almost psychedelic in its confusion.

Anyways, that’s why I have too many amplifiers.

Sorry, Chicago. Huey left y’all out.
Sometimes I amuse myself (I don't do this out loud) by substituting cities in James Brown's Night Train:

" Pawtucket Rhode Island! El Segundo California! Wenatchee Washington!"

I was living in Arizona when the song was popular. They would play an edited version that had Huey yelling “Phoenix! Tucson!” during the instrumental part at the end of the song. It sounded so half-hearted and imposing, like Huey Lewis had to spend a day yelling towns into a microphone while he’d rather be snorting new drugs and showing his massive hog to adoring groupies. I always wondered what other towns had their own edits.

Thinking about shrimp and how I love it. A friend jokingly told me that shrimp is black people food and I didn't understand the joke because he isn't funny all the time. So I looked it up and inadvertently found out that lobster used to be called "poor man's chicken" and colonizers fed it to prisoners and enslaved Africans. I love seafood. Think I might have seafood for lunch. Get me some scallops or something.
