Well, you did it!
Right now Tommydski and DRC are jumping around like loons, I can guarantee it.

Tonight we were better than Carlisle by some distance. Especially in the second half. If we'd had a striker who was awake, we'd have scored a few I reckon. On Monday, Douglas and Howson looked weak. Tonight they were glorious. Douglas slotted in front of the defence and held the line perfectly. Howson scored two fucking wonderful goals. A nineteen year old lad from Leeds who has broken into the first team with energy and tenacity. Full credit to Gary Mac for keeping him in the team despite fierce competition for his position. Full credit to Gary Mac for bringing in Dougie Freedman, who is a fucking magician.
Fuck it, everyone did well. This time it's true.
WEMBLEY! WEMBLEY!
WE'RE THE GREATEST LEEDS UNITED AND WE'RE OFF TO WEMBLEY!

I would like to dedicate tonight's victory to the resurrection of my lucky badge, and to football's perfect football club.
I did my loon-jumping in the pub, now I'm home listening to the team come out again on the pitch.
LEEDS!

Is there anything in football like the last-minute winner? Really?

There is when a local lad gets the goal.
I'm working on getting a ticket for Wembley right now.

Wembley... I cannot do. Stars of the Lid in Leeds that night, can't afford the trip, couldn't do it and work Monday...
But Leeds winning the play-offs followed by Stars of the Lid will have to do. And having only been to one away game this season, I don't deserve it really. And I don't know if anything can top tonight anyway... McAllister has been interviewed from full time, talking about how he could have made three or four changes from Monday but I think it is telling that he stayed with the same time and didn't make any substitutions. Faith. Also good is the interview Sky Sports News are running with Howson and Prutton, where Howson looks as astonished as he should, and Prutton looks like an old pro completely relieved to have made it (I guess especially after the experiences with Forest last season).
Interview on Radio Leeds: Casper Ankergren says tonight was "fantastisk".

Peterborough!
Nottingham Forest!
Gateshead!
Sunderland (stayed up)
Leeds (nearly)!
a successful season EA-Gringo-wise? Apart from Ipswich, naturally.
