My band, The Ten Cent Fuck Flicks, will be playing on August 1st. I'll be the one pounding the keyboard with a confused look on my face.

I did not make this shitty flyer.

I will attend this show.
I will drink many beers.
I will make offensive comments.
I will eat free pizza.

There's an awesome Bay Area band playing a one off show in New York. Jordan, who attendees of any of the past three PRF West BBQs will remember as the stalwart sound guy and the monster that is Reptoid, used to play in a two piece band called Reptilian Shape Shifters. The guitar player, Alex moved to New York a few years ago and Jordan is in town and they will be playing as Reptilian Shape Shifters at Muchmores in Williamsburg on August 4th. I was lucky enough to see them open a crazy as fuck show in Oakland, opening for Survival Knife. The show was at a squatter house, whose residences gave zero fucks about things like soundproofing or building code. I remember I showed up early and had a drink at Eli's about two blocks away from the venue. When I came out I could hear Reptilian Shape Shifters wailing. They are loud and awesome and everyone in NYC should come and see them.

No Wave 2.0 is how my bandmate described it. Mark Morgan still has the best guitar sound/approach ever, and S.P.'s bass player rips. No drummer (it's gtr/bass/keyboard-sample guy). The disorienting rhythmic stuff going on in their songs reminded me of Mars. OrthodoxEaster would probably poop over these guys.Fucking hell. I totally missed these posts and this show b/c 1.) I don't look at this thread as often as I should and 2.) I had a Russian house guest staying w/me that week who'd sooner jump off a bridge than listen to stuff like this. But goddamn, what a drag to have slept on this. I suck. Sorry.
