To accomodate those who haven't seen this film, this shot (pow) is not from the climax, so should not be seen as a spoiler.
In lieu of a larger photo of the one earlier:
Maybe a little tough, but one of my favourite films.
The picture is a little small, so as a starter, the protagonists in the photo are Ida Lupino and Robert Ryan.
Edit for clue and correct spelling.

185No, it's part of a dream or hallucination sequence or some such when they're stuck on the beach, if memory serves.
It was just a preemptive remark in case anyone was put off by what could've been interpreted as a spoiler. Nothing to apologize about!

On Dangerous Ground. Movie's incredible. Really a gem of the noir genre. Spoilers hidden:
The chase scenes are fucking classic, with Robert Ryan casting of the heaviest shadows of any leading man of the time. The scene when he starts trying to get close to the knife, only to have the girl's father blast...fuck. And the total shift in location and emotion is very uncharacteristic of the genre as well. BRILLIANCE!!!

187Good spot. I'd only seen Robert Ryan in a very different (though still excellent) role in The Wild Bunch. He was a revelation in this: violent, scary, self-loathing, but believable and sympathetic. He's a tortured hulk in it.
