Dude...
Chrome Hoof
I saw them at Villette sonique. For a while I didn't know if I liked them or hated them. They were sloppy, not even playing together sometimes (it wasn't on purpose at all). Eventually, I think they suck. Yeah, I hate them.

You
hate a band that you can't even make your mind up about? "

Sometimes Floyd Rose is a bad sign, but I've seen some notable exceptions.
Headless can be a bad sign, but I've seen some notable exceptions.
Broken headstock dangling from Floyd Rose locking nut is always a great sign.
More than one light on the amp head is a bad sign.
Gloved drummer is a bad sign. Gloved anybody is a bad sign. (Did someone say that already?)

CODE RED: Gold-painted Floyd Rose. Leave NOW. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

I think at least 90% of the bands I really like fall into thread somewhere.
More than 1 light on your amp? come on.
Wow... all this time I have been coming to the wrong forum.

dreadlocks on white dudes.
7-string guitars.
line 6 amps.
sheet music in tandem with goateed guitarist sitting on a barstool wearing flip flops or sandals.
electric-acoustic guitars, unless they are played by P.W. Long or Bob Mould.
two reissue late 1990's Gibson SG's in the band, in matching colors (usually Oxblood red), played through Marshall JCM800's or 900's, with the matching Marshall 4X12s. Generally there will be chained wallets involved and octave chords. In 50% of the cases the Marshall logo is broken or missing and there's a hole in the grill cloth.
Any Behringer equipment.
Harmonica headpiece (except one worn by Neil Young)
Jorts on stage.
Ponytails and goatee combos on males.
Band name in duct or gaffer's tape on bass drum head, with a far from circular, hand cut hole off center in the middle of the drum. Sure sign the drummer has never tuned a drum.
Stickers on Bass Drum head.
Remo Pinstripe heads on all the drums, including the snare.
Rototoms.
Crash cymbals under 12"
Steinberger bass.
PRS guitar with fancy pearl inlays and humbuckers.
Eyeliner.
