The "killing" part was hyperbolic in the context of the original thread wherein I was talking about stuff that really viscerally pissed me off, but, yeah. I don't like Chinese or Japanese culture and I do not get along with Chinese or Japanese people as a general rule. That's fine. I don't do anything to harm them or discriminate against them. We just don't get along for the most part.

You know what really pisses me off? Racism is only considered racism if the people look different than you do. Can I not fairly detest where someone comes from if they happen to look non-white? The British hate the French and vice versa and that's totally acceptable but I can't dislike the Chinese because they aren't Caucasian looking? Can you just not agree with/like people from a certain country for whatever reason and have it be okay anymore?

I consider people from the North East section of Philadelphia to be lower than any ape. They're white and I'm white and that's where the similarities end.

Actually no, that's racism as well. Or bigotry. Or whatever you want to call it. Words that mean "wrong." What the English did to the Irish is not what I would call "totally acceptable." Serbs/Croats, Jews/Palestinians, etc. What's wrong is wrong, even if the participants look alike.

There's plenty of level headed responses in this thread along with jokes, but a few are just a little out there. Think of the way Mandroid might be treated if she weren't a long time, regular poster.

I'm not racist, nor a bigot, but I don't consider racially motivated off hand comments to 'show the true nature' of someone, when it's particularly superficial. I'm not talking about heavy handed racist talk, but something like Marsup's posts, where offense could certainly be taken, but knowing his posting style, I don't think that's the intention. Silly lectures on ''language of morons" just adds to the hostility in this thread.

The point I'm trying to get across is the sad labeling that occurs, and overreacting people have to these comments. Sure, it's better these comments aren't made, but to create a mountain out of a mole hill is silly. I really doubt anyone on this board is racist, or just plain insensitive enough about race to warrant a growing thread like this one.
