On the subject of The Faces, I like their rambling version quite a lot too.
Lennon's is a little sappy and overdone. Perhaps he was still on his Spector love kick? I mean it's great, but just as Macca's Long and Winding Road sounds so much better without the dramatic crap, Lennon's Jealous Guy was sort of almost the top and could have used a stripping down.
That's where Jimmy Scott be all over it.
I'm just cranky about the Magazine thing.
