That's interesting. The book was terrible (if well-received). Curious to know how much surgery they might have done to pull a decent show from it.
I haven't read the book but I have heard that the series strays quite a bit from the book.
It's OK. Started out strong but kinda boring me now by episode nine. I'll keep going.
Nine was my favorite episode so far and the whole thing has been very solid, to me anyway.

When I read this aloud I dropped my pipe on my favorite corduroy sport jacket!

(I did kinda enjoy Fried Barry with the whole Joe Bob presentation - watch at your own risk. It's on AMC+ / Shudder.)
Fried Barry was kinda AWESOME. I'll back you up on this one, though I didn't see it as a Joe Bob episode. My credibility is dogshit though.

I quite like it.
Same here. Good mix of mundane vampire life and the occasional flash of special effects. "BAT!".
It just gets better and better. My vote for funniest current series. Matt Berry’s best role ever?
Quitter / Canady tape and digital out now.

I got a temporary Showtime subscription so I could binge this. Great series that hits on a lot of classic stuff (to varying degrees: Alive, Lord of the Flies, Shining, Exorcist, Misery) but doesn't itself seem contrived about it. Great cast and the twin timeline thing works really well too. Season finale tomorrow! Who is the Antler Queen??
