100% back Hank and Rattlesnake Cables. Also if you have any issues, just amend it back to Missoula and he’ll fix things quickly at no cost. The first ones I got 9 years had some connectors that went bad, and I think it was less than a week from when I sent them to Hank to getting them back in the mail.

I have one and though it seems like a perfectly wonderfully constructed cable, the texture of the wrapping does the thing that sends shivers up my spine when i touch it. Dunno whats up with that, but I hate touching that guitar cable so I don't use it. They are also pretty inflexible and stiff, but that isn't as big a deal as the demonic curse it casts on me every time it touches my skin. Good cable though

You can also request that Hank make cables without the weave now, so that should help with your demon skin!

Also they get less stiff as you use them and coil them up. Definitely noticed that mine are less slippery after several years of getting stage/space dirt and sweat all over them.

I have been going the cheap-o route with my instrument cables and since I am playing out again, I need something a bit tougher. I am not really interested in making my own, but do you find it worth spending a little extra to get a nice instrument cable. I was looking at the rattlesnake cable company and they seem like good folks with a good cable.
MXR cables are really nice, as far as off-the-shelf options go.

I have one of those big Ernie Ball volume pedals and want something smaller. Looking at replacements, and there are surprising issues:
passive Ernie Ball Jr pedals have a tone ruining reputation, Lehle are expensive, DOD have bad reviews, Moyo maybe...there are a lot of options.
What's a good, smaller replacement?

I have (and love) the Moyo - (link for those unfamiliar -
https://reverb.com/item/4390294-moyo-mini-volume-pedal).
I noticed that Justin from Unwound had it on his board and this thing is built like a flippin' tank. The jacks all being on one side may be a little weird for some folks, but I just run a slightly longer patch cable and and there's no issue. Can't recommend enough!

I would, but can't support a Russian company post-Ukrainian invasion.

Unwound is basically an auto-recommend, but your first-hand endorsement is awesome. It was mentioned on other, I think sketchier boards (The Gear Page, maybe). This helps a lot, thank you!
