I don't think you missed anything based on my memory of your posts; my tastes in this genre are pretty pedestrian: Clairo, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx, Chappell Roan, etc.

Alright! Yeah I like that Chappell song but the rest wasn't my favourite... Charli still don't interest me much... The Clairo album is good by I place it in a diff category. Dunno about Sabrina Carpenter much, heard some songs and forgot about it, new stuff sounds better than the earlier. Some nice arrangements.

Have been enjoying the heck out of these two. Julie is definitely for fans of Swirlies as they sound VERY much like them.

Just an aside: I like the fact that this thread became "albums worth a damn" and not "best of". Maybe that started last year? It makes me more inclined to post really strong or compelling or endearing records without having to think if they make some fictional list etc. It's fun sharing music here!

Julie is great - nothing earth shattering, but waves the 90s flag with big vigour

Don't think there'll be an album, but here's one of the top songs of the year.
