She had a heck of a career. Beetlejuice and Home Alone were big films for young zircona1. R.I.P.
Hell, her scenes with Gus Polinski alone...

Does anybody remember "The New Show" on NBC in 1984?
It was a short-lived Lorne Michaels skecth comedy show that came on Friday nights.
It lives on, in small snippets of terrible quality, on Youtube.
Catherine O'Hara was a cast member with a whole bunch of other SCTV people.
That was my introduction to COH and I thought she was totally awesome.
I was only about 8 or 9 and I saw a sketch where GE Smith played rock guitar and she sang, and I guess it really made an impression.
It never left me, I can still sing the song!
RIP

The youngest member of the SCTV cast. She was 21 when the first season was shot, and already brilliant.
I hope the Scorcese documentary shot a few years ago comes out while some of the cast are alive to enjoy it.

Grady Demond Wilson peaced out. Lamont from Sanford and Son was family. Sad to see him pass.

Not sure how this slipped by (by me, at least), but Sly Dunbar died a little over a week ago.

Lamonte McLemore from The 5th Dimension. Portrait was a staple in the Murphy house while I was a kid. Great chapter on them in Summer of Soul. I felt that.

The 5th Dimension was the 3rd concert I ever saw. I went through a phase as a teen when I was all into oldies, and they played our town at a building on campus. That night, however, one of them was sick so there were only 4 of them. Good show, 'Aquarius' was the finale.

The Aquarius > Let The Sunshine In transition is just a tape edit!
