Don’t want to jinx it - knock on wood and all - but this one seems to be a perfect match.
I left them on to warm up properly and the only differences I can find can be calked up to preamp level difference where you might need to move a fader pot up tiny fraction to match w/ the other channel. They even look the same in the scope plugins
I’ve already had to return two of these from other sellers over the years so didn’t have high hopes but will be extremely pleased if this works out.
Any idea how long you can run a tube mic safely? In normal operation I have no qualms with turning on a tube mic power supply when I power up everything else and not turning it off until the end of the night (or when I’m done recording).
Maybe I’m just used to the sound but I love these mics. They also work right up on an amp. Give me a pair of these and a couple C38Bs and I can record 90% of what I want to do. Everything else can be handled by a ribbon, dynamic, or sdc, but I feel like the condensers are better all-arounders, if not always the perfect choice (for my tastes at least).

A friend dropped off a Tascam TSR 8 in "Worked Great Last Time I Used it" condition. As soon as I turned it on the belt broke and the Pinch Roller Rubber is completely putrified, but hey, it was free. I ordered new rubber and will open it up for cleaning and rebuild when it arrives. Maybe it will be a quick fix. My experience with every other Reel to Reel I've owned leads me to believe it will be a lot of work though. Still, fun free 8 track.

2004~2005 "Crafted" in Japan (Dyna Gakki factory) Fender JB62 Jazz bass.
Sale price was ultimately sub $400, still waiting on a price to ship from Japan. Bought lots of mics and space echoes and shipping wasn't too killer (sans tariffs) but this is the first instrument I'm shipping so we'll see.

A bandmate was lamenting the lack of commercially available speaker cables with 90° 1/4" phone plugs at both ends so I said no problem and ordered a box of cord & cable parts from Redco Audio in CT. Placed the order @ 8am and had a tracking number by 11!
Excited to try these tiny little pancake jawns: (not on the speaker cable)

Between the Dwarfcraft HAX & HAX2 I have on different pedalboards, I'll have you know I
only like robot noises! As some astute FM noted years ago (wish I could remember who so I could attribute them), if you're worried about playing the wrong notes, just use a ring mod and feel confident that every note you play will be wrong.

A Pokemon-etched Deep Space Devices DDUUSSTT despite not really being into Pokemon and already owning delay and fuzz pedals.
What can I say? I'm just a fella who always makes wise decisions

For the new-to-me AT4060 I had to buy a new Rycote to replace the very shitty Audio Technica shock mount and I accidentally bought an ugly ugly black and red one, and a Casematrix case that was smaller than the other I have, but luckily just enough to fit the power supply and mic.
I also made a stupid purchase out of nowhere and have to sell a bunch of gear in 6 months or they’ll break my legs.

Here's another thing I got coming soon that doesn't help make robot noises. It's a Mic Mute that fits between your mic and cable with a +48v-powered adjustable infrared sensor. If you're in range of the sensor your mic is hot, if you're outside the range of the sensor your mic is not. My bassist turned me onto it and I think it could really help with cutting unnecessary mic noise and feedback. I tried it out a couple times at practice and I was able to get a good range where I could still pull away a little for dramatic effect.

looks both like a cool idea. I wish it just ducked the mic a adjustable amount as opposed to muting but cool still
