our cat, Natasha, died last night. she was 16. oldest pet i've ever had.
she was grumpy but we loved her and she loved us.

Ooooof. Losing a kitty is absolutely awful. I'm so sorry.

A little detail from my week is that I am now an independently-licensed clinical social worker. So, basically, once I've saved up some money, the upper midwest and its rigid, boring monoculture can kiss my ass because I can go pretty much anywhere and get a decent job. Trying to decide which coast I will end up on.

Became obsessed with these space videos the other night. Simulated dive into the outer gas planets to see what they look like. The simulation itself is in a program called SpaceEngine. Apparently the uploader studies atmospheric physics and they provide some commentary on the composition of the planets and their conditions, temperature and so on.

This one is particularly unsettling.
