If by funny you mean AWESOME. I'll remake the video as stop-motion with legos.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I imagine that it would.
We just learned and played a grip of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion songs, it was fun

Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

That would be truly amazing. How would you sing it? The Gerald growl is pretty hard on the vocal cords.
I've never performed live and i'm still learning guitar so much of what I'm playing is covers right now, just to learn. still, I would do:
"Frightened" - The Fall (for sure, without overdrive on, I sound like Martin Bramah without the chorus)
"What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding" - tons of people, but most well known in the Elvis Costello version (genius song)
"Chow" - Cows
"Three Girl Rhumba" - wire (I don't even know how that elastica song goes, forget it)
and if I had a good enough band, "Fun House", cause that shit has to be done right.
and when I get better later I'd do something by John Fahey (to give my voice a rest).
Edit: If I can ever figure out how to play - "Effigy" by Creedence, I would cover it live, preprogrammed guitar solos and all. That and probably a Laughing Hyenas song. I don't know which one. and anything by Dylan that I like. Okay I need to give this a rest...

197At the last couple of Motorz gigs, we've been ending sets with "Squealer" by AC/DC and "Stay With Me" by Faces. We also pulled out "Pleasant Valley Sunday" by The Monkees at a local awards show last weekend.
Now comes the sweet summer vacation of hiatus.

This is an inspired cover choice. I'd love to hear Silkworm's rendition.
I'd send you a 7", but I don't even think I have one any more. They're gone.

It was this song.
The Chain/Our Secret. That's the 7".
They're both on Even a Blind Chicken Finds a Kernel of Corn Now and Then, a compilation of early stuff on Matador.
They're pretty good version. I think Our Secret rivals the original, as I recall.
Our Secret was sort of the unacknowledged theme song of SKWM when we were a quartet.

200"Unsatisfied"
"Answering Machine"
"Final Solution"
"Nonalignment Pact"
"Schizophrenia"
"September Gurls" [butchered- my falsetto needs major work]
"That's When I Reach For My Revolver"
"Rebound"
"Makes No Sense At All"
"Chartered Trips"
"Ice Cold Ice"
"Friend, You've Got To Fall"
"(I'm) Stranded"
"What Do I Get?"
Not all in the same band, and definitely no more than 1 or 2 per set as a little reward for tolerating the rest of our set.
I've always wanted to do "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "Search And Destroy"-- how kick-ass would those be as closers?-- but could never drum up the interest. Same with any GBV covers.
