i've had one on order there for three fucking weeks. "we don't order from that distributor every week" was their excuse. metamusic is out too.
oh, i'm referring to the LP, not the CD. yeah, i could buy the cd, by why?
i try to buy local, i really do, but these guys are making it tough.

Yeah, that's odd...I was talking about the vinyl too. Sounds like someone is jerking you around.

I was pleased to hear the melodious voice of Agostino Tilotta on this album today.
I like "Genuine Lulabelle" more when I can actually hear the quiet parts.

Is it just me - and i could be totally wrong - but the more i listen to shellac the more and more i hear a minutemen influence. Is this totally off base?
Steve's guitar playing often sounds like D. Boon to me.
"Cut" sounds like a Shellac song.

Agreed.
I would post "Cut" on that "songs bands should cover" thread.

It's not great but it's got some great moments and as a whole it's pretty good. I hate AC/DC, mostly because of the shitty vocals, but I quite like "Geddy As She Goes" (which only sounds recognizably AC/DC-ish 3/4 of the way through). I like the "End of Radio" too, good performance all around there. The recording quality of this album is TOP-NOTCH. Todd's drumming is pretty much flawless throughout. Some of the vocals (emo-y shit) I don't care for. Still, I'm glad they made it and ostensibly it seems they had fun doing so.
