People who have so patiently helped me in the tech room: Bad Comrade, Rodabod, Scott, newcopcar, patrick md, full point, Antero, Maurice, vockins, tgavin, mastermind, third, Germ War, Clyde 2.0, Andrew Weatherhead, Noah, Seaside Lounge, Justin From Queens, djimbe, n.c., sndo, justinc, Bob Weston, gcbv, lehabs, Dylan, cgarges...and probably others.

Andrew L., for the tenacity.

And a special mention for Jimpy Mendrix. Best thread ever.

And then everyone else - with a few exceptions, of course - who have made me laugh and think and smile so many times.

This forum is cool as fuck, mang.

Salut!

I would like to thank Stackmatic, as well as the members of .22 for introducing me to the typeface
58 Rodeo which I am continually obsessed with.

Edit: Kent Anderson too! Whoever you are.

I am just reading this now. Liking Das Damen isn't my flaw, *loving* them is.

Designer Kent Henderson was recommended to us by our friend John Lee.

He did great work for us. His work is very clean, so to speak, which I like.

Dear Jodi,
Did I ever thank you for showing me the ropes through-out the Branca thing?

Dear Bradley,
Did I ever thank you for assembling the Chicago/Milwaukee .22/Bellini rock shows?

If not, mille grazie!!!

Rob warmowski is someone I would like to know better.

Having just read this, let me assume the esteemed Mr. 13 meant me in that first line and say I was in Madison that weekend (see the 7:15 mark in this recording http://www.notmuch.com/Audio/RAfiles/060415d.ram )

Re: love-passing:

You people know who you are. Your viewpoints are well and originally enunciated, preclude dogma, are to a minimum degree unique. Your technical writings respect correctness, your non-technical words defy their lowly status as ASCII graffitti. You choose pithy over pissy, bathos over eriudition. You take the risks and the time that all truths need taken in order to indelibly express. As a consequence, you are no less funny than this existence.

The disembodiment of this place is no weakness, except in terms of accounting. I don't know (and almost don't care) who hit what home run most recently. For example, my hat is off to whoever related the time he accidentally popped off the plastic "M" from his father's tombstone. But that hat was off already.

Against the backdrop of decades of internet typing, this place is the embodiment of the "benefit of the doubt." Here, the deck is stacked, and for once it is in my favor. Na zdrowie!

itchy mcgoo, she is a wise, wise woman! And she sent me Whitehouse lyrics when I was feelin' blue.

burun/jodi, for being a welcoming voice in this goddamn city of New York.

Brett Eugene Ralph, for telling me a story that involved "Danzig's titties."
