I think Mudhoney's 'Halloween' slays Sonic Youth's.
The Melvins' "Going Blind" is better than Kiss's, hands down.
I also like the Ex's version of 'Keep On Hopping' better than the Mekons'.
I think Pussy Galore's cover of 'Damaged II' is totally brilliant.
The U-Men's "Bad Little Woman" is a ton better than the Wheels'.
For some reason I can tolerate covers of Rolling Stones songs a lot more than I can the original: Feedtime's "The Last Time," Pussy Galore's "Rocks Off," Laughing Hyena's "Under My Thumb" - all great.
AND, even though i'll probably get shit for this, I always had a soft spot for the Swans' 'Love Will Tear Us Apart.'

I guess with all of these it is pretty much a matter of taste. Except for the Melvins cover. That RULES.

As I have stated before, "D'ya Think I'm Sexy?" is an amazing song. It's Carmine Appice's finest moment. If I felt like I had a voice to sing with, you can bet your ass I'd do this at karaoke.
