Man was I sleeping on Willow's album last year. I was taken aback by the pop-punk shift on the earlier one and my ego couldn't handle her making a song with Avril Lavigne. There are really good songs on this one.

Doki Doki - S/T

Donnie from Grumpster with a bunch of people from other bands I don't know, dropped a record this year. It's spotty and kinda sprawling, and I wish the vocals had some more force behind them. They clearly have sense for melody, it's just not utilized enough.

In either case, these two are fun songs:

A very nice man introduced me to Dina Ögon, a very nice band out of Sweden. ABBA-esque, sun-kissed melodies flavored with late-60's soul, tropicalia, jazz, lounge, and the like. Can't seem to locate their upcoming release, but I'm enjoying their first one a lot.
