Who are people going for between Austria and Poland? I am having difficulty calling it...my gut says Poland though. They got beaten by Germany but I thought they still had their moments and played some nice football.

In my prediction league, I stuck it down as a 1-1. But Im staring to regret that. I think Poland might edge it. The weather won't make much difference in this one.

Right so I've put my tenner on Poland. If this doesn't come off I'm apportioning blame between you guys and the Polish guys I work with.

On the WWII angle there was a bit of beef between the Polish and the German fans before their match. Apparently one of the German chants before and during the match translated as "All Poles should wear a yellow star". Not the catchiest chant in the world but riling nonetheless I'd imagine.

Still I was pleasantly surprised by the way the Polish team played. Looking forward to the games tonight.

Brief review of gadu gadu (Polish IM) status of my friends:

- fuck the referee

- he is not a galosh, he is a dick (referee-galosh is a popular thing to say)

- refree is a dick fucked by a horse (and it rhymes!)

- referee - cheat!

- fuck the referee!!!

- shit has hit us and it smiles



I was disappointed but I was chatting with the cutest girl ever during the game and I think she digs me (I also think she has a boyfriend, fuckshitdammit) so it helps. I was also chatting with her when we played we Germany, and I couldn't give a fuck about the game, I don't think I looked at tv more than three times.
